'Cristiano Ronaldo upset by lack of La Liga goals': Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos reveals goal-shy star's struggle

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is upset by his lack of La Liga goals so far this season.

Ronaldo endured his third consecutive league game without a goal as Real responded to their midweek Champions League defeat at Tottenham - where the Portuguese did score - with a 3-0 win over Las Palmas.

Karim Benzema is going through an equally barren patch, between the Frenchman and Ronaldo they only have a goal apiece in La Liga.

Ramos is unconcerned about the goal-shy stars but did admit that Ronaldo, who hit the bar three times on Sunday, does get emotional when he fails to find the net.

'Cristiano and Karim's goals will come in. Karim is more generous in that sense,' Ramos told Movistar. 'Cristiano is certainly going home upset when he does not score.

'But we do not worry that they have scored few goals because they make a difference and what matters is winning, and the goals will come.'

Real are third in the table, eight points adrift of bitter rivals Barcelona after 11 matches.

Casemiro, Marco Asensio and Isco were the Real players who did find the net to beat Las Palmas. Ramos was pleased with the performance of the team as a whole.

He added: 'The team played for the victory from the first minute. Las Palmas kept men behind the ball and after the first goal, they tried to play on the counter.

'We took advantage of the spaces and the victory is very important for us.'
