Nigerian army officials meet with the crippled man
The Nigerian Army has shown itself as a law abiding organization as it has met with a crippled man who was disgraced and assaulted in public by some power-drunk soldiers who whipped and dragged him around like piece of trash.
Abuchi Onwumelu who was at the scene as army officials met with the man identified as Chijioke Raphael Uraka from Ebonyi state.
He was presented with cash and other gift items in Onitsha.
Uraka's story made headlines some days ago when a video of him being whipped by soldiers for wearing a military uniform went viral with calls for the arrest of the heartless soldiers.
The soldiers have been arrested and will serve the punishment.
Onwumelu wrote: "Nigeria Army Versus Physically Challenged (cripple), Chijioke Raphael Uraku.
